Ministries and Groups

Altar servers and MCs are an extremely important part of the Mass. They assist the priest during the liturgy and especially help prepare the altar. They experience a greater understanding of Holy Mass and a deeper respect for the Eucharist.

The STA Building Committee is responsible for identifying repair work on the Church, the School Building and the Aquinas Center.

Then at the request of the Pastor, enlist the assistance of local contractors to make professional repairs to the buildings through the use of contracts and bid proposals.

The STA prayer group meets once a week as a prayer community to seek Jesus in union with the Holy Spirit. We come together to praise the Lord and give thanks for all He does for us through our worship and prayer. The Holy Spirit is present through scripture, prophecy, and bringing healing into our midst.

The group meets during Eucharistic Adoration on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm to pray the rosary and do intercessory prayer.

A Bereavement Ministry Support Group for all those who would like a supportive environment to help with the loss of a loved one, 

We welcome any adult who has lost a spouse, parent, child, friend, to join us. There will be sharing as a group, as well as DVD videos and discussion workbooks.

The STA High School Youth Group provides an ever-growing community for our teens where, two Wednesdays a month, they experience the Gospel life of faith and prayer in a powerful and engaging way. Each summer there is an opportunity for a week-long mission trip in July, where the participating teens live out the Gospel of loving service in a different (and always adventurous!) mission location.

The STA Jewelry Ministry collects, sorts, and sells pre-owned jewelry donations as an ongoing fundraiser for the parish. Sales primarily occur at a large display at the Annual STA Friars' Fall Festival and Craft Fair.

Their primary responsibility is to read aloud the Old and New Testament readings for Sunday Mass.  Additionally, if Deacon Joe is not present at a Mass or on a particular weekend, lectors also lead the congregation in the prayers of the faithful.

The Children's choir is for Grades K-8, and sings at Christmas and other times of the liturgical year.  The children learn a love of singing, and how to work as a team.  No auditions required.
