We are the faith community of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Derry, New Hampshire, dedicated to continuing the mission of Jesus Christ in the Roman Catholic tradition. We proclaim the Good News, using our time, talent and treasure to reach the new, the wandering, the poor and the unloved. United in God, we are committed to growth in faith through worship, spirituality, outreach, education, and fellowship. Empowered by the Holy Spirit and nourished by Word and Eucharist, we seek a deeper, more personal relationship with Jesus Christ as we passionately share Christ's love with all people.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, several weeks ago we had school vacation. I didn`t think anything of it until we counted the collection and found that we were almost 2/3 rd`s short of what we usually take in at the 10:30 am Mass. The other Masses were also a little short. At first I wondered if someone had stolen some money, but no one had done such a thing. That`s when I realized that there wasn`t as many people. It is challenging to keep this little boat afloat in the armada of the Church. Sometimes I wonder if we are just going to have to close and lock the doors and say ?so long? ? Last week we had the first of three ?First Communion Masses?. I would not be surprised if there were some raised eye brows when the collection basket came around; not just once, but twice. How many realized that it was a SUNDAY Mass with all the privileges AND responsibilities that go along with such a celebration ? like financially supporting the Church. We rely on your generous contributions every week if we are going to make ends meet. Sadly that is not always the case. I ask you to please be as generous as you can be in supporting the church. Many bills we have are no different than yours, only bigger. Please help the work of the Kingdom to continue here at your spiritual home, especially if you have to make up a missed weekend in contributions. Thank you and God bless you always.
Fr. Bruce, ofm
